Reid DeChant

Mr. DeChant was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice at Arizona State University. He moved to Denver, Colorado where he attended University of Denver for law school. While in law school, he began honing his trial advocacy skills with the National Trial Team. He also found his passion for DUI defense with The Orr Law Firm in 2017 as an intern. He went on to join the Orr team in 2022.

Mr. DeChant continued practicing trial advocacy and client focused representation at the Colorado Public Defender’s Office in both Denver and Brighton where he found his calling defending the accused. He is willing to take any case to trial if a favorable disposition is unobtainable. He has focused his career on trial advocacy by regularly attending trial advocacy trainings around the country to ensure he has the most effective set of tools at his disposal.

Mr. DeChant understands that most clients come to him at the lowest points in their life. This is why it is so important that he tells it like it is and does not make any promises that he cannot guarantee. If you want to hear the cold hard truth, Mr. DeChant will lay it all out on the table for you so you can make an informed decision on how to best proceed with your case. The primary goal is to explore every possible avenue to reach the best possible outcome for each and every client, no matter the situation the client finds themselves in. Mr. DeChant has negotiated favorable plea agreements in every kind of case from first degree homicide to traffic tickets.
